Accessibility

Thorns strives to be a safer and accessible space for our clients.

We have put together this resource to help our clients have all the necessary information on our space and the materials we need to make a decision without having to reach out or be unnecessarily burdened in their research process!

Due to health department regulations, we will not be able to accommodate all accessibility needs. Thank you to everyone that has helped compile this list.

We tattoo all skin tones and sizes.

Come as you are! We reject the notion that tattoos only look beautiful in certain skin tones or body types. If you have questions regarding how tattoos will look like on you, please make sure to talk to your artist. Let’s work together to design something you love.

Our space can accommodate wheelchairs.

Our studio and restroom are located on the ground level. There is a concrete incline that leads from the sidewalk to our front door. There is also an incline that spans the length of the hallway to our bathroom. Our bathroom has an entrance and interior space large enough to fit most wheelchairs. All stations are equipped with step stools to ease getting on and off massage tables.

This is not scent free space.

Unfortunately, the cleaning supplies and sterilizers that we utilize in order to maintain health-code standards make it hard for us to run a scent free space.

We utilize scent free soap in our restroom and sink.

There are candles in the space, and often have floral arrangements.

We are located below residential apartments, and it is difficult to regulate the detergents, soaps, and other personal care products that our clients and neighbors utilize.

We mop with chlorine bleach once per week.
