Thorns Tattoo is an appointment only licensed, worker-owned studio in Berkeley, California.
Born out of a need to create an alternative to the exploitation of artists in the tattoo industry, we strive to put the creative growth of our artists and clients above profit generation.
In order to keep a safe space for artists and clients, we do not have open hours.

Artists are the heart of the tattoo industry. As workers, we deserve to have a say in how our work environment is run in order to ensure maximum safety and quality service for our clients.
At Thorns, each artist makes their own schedule according to the projects they want to take, ensuring maximum flexibility for our artists, and high quality work for our clients.
